Modifications
to the Mini Cooper 1300
A:
Braking system: the new system has a split line (front and rear) which
improves safety. The brake servo is kept and only operates the front
breakes. While braking, if the fluid pressure is too low this will light
the handbrake warning light. Brake cylinder reservoir is transparent in
order to facilitate fluid checking.
B:
Exhaust pipe: The third silencer has been modified as well as the
exhaust path in order to decrease the noise level but without
compromising power output.
C:
Steering column attachment and parcel shelf: the structures of the
parcel shelf and the steering column attachment have been modified to
make them more easily deformed under an accident, therefore absorbing
greater impact energy. This lessens the amount the steering enters into
the vehicle.
