Mini Cooper 1300

 Exterior

Front grill with upper lip fitted onto the bonnet, unlike the other previous Innocentis. Carello or Altissimo headlights with crome rings and also front repeaters below headlights. The black grill is probably the most distinguishable feature of this model, giving it a different look compared to the british sisters.

The wipers which were usually cromed on previous Innocentis here you see them black. This was to prevent the sunlight reflecting straight into your eyes while driving.

Export emblem fitted on the A-panel. Since the Export models where intentioned for a foreign market, that is just what the spreading arrows represent.

Rostyle 10" wheels with Leyland "L" center caps. These center caps are almost impossible to find nowadays as they seem to have been the first things to have suffered the old age.

Badges:

What was unique and at the same time a kind of mystery with the Export models was the "export" badge/sticker you see here which was fitted on the rear boot bonnet on the lower right side, in an inclined position like in the picture. Although on the Innocenti brochures of the time (left) it was shown clearly as a badge, all I know is that only stickers exist.

Contact Torsten Schaumann at Innocenti.MiniBits@T-Online-de if you need any.

Side repeaters can be either Altissimo or Carello. Below is the Altissimo brand

Rear plate light, unique to innocenti Minis. Pic below seen on its rear side with the "Carello" writing and connector.
